#ILOVEDSU Fundraising Campaign

We used Valentine’s Day as the inspiration for a multi-channel “I LOVE DSU” engagement and giving campaign for Delaware State University that launched in February. The campaign leveraged the high impact of video on social media and the hashtag #ILOVEDSU to share interviews with students, alumni, faculty, and staff declaring their love for Delaware State University. As the campaign progressed, the videos included testimonials on the many reasons why members of the campus community love Delaware State University and why they give to support the University. Audiences were encouraged to SHARE THEIR LOVE and donate by texting LOVE to a text-to-give number or to donate online on the giving page of our website. A SHOW YOUR LOVE postcard carried the theme of the campaign to donors and another direct mail appeal is also planned to be mailed. The campaign also included a series of email blasts that shared the videos with donors, alumni, and the campus community and encouraged them to donate to the campaign. The campaign offered a variety of ways to give from QR codes to Text-to-Give, to giving through our website.
